About the course
Want the freedom of both a boat and a jet ski? The combo covers your Queensland recreational marine licence and your personal watercraft (PWC) licence together in one day. It is our most popular choice for families and couples, and the only route if you do not already hold a boat licence.
You complete the theory online beforehand, then spend a hands-on day on sheltered Sunshine Coast water at Caloundra, Maroochydore or Noosa, training on both the boat and the jet ski. You sit both assessments the same day, and pass them and you leave with the certificates for both licences. If you need more time on the water first, we would rather you took it.

Both licences, one booking
The combo is booked as one course covering both licences, which is why it is our most popular package. You give up a single day rather than two, and both licences last a lifetime. Current pricing shows in the booking calendar when you pick your date and location.
Your day on the water
You train on both the boat and the jet ski with a patient local instructor on sheltered water. You practise handling each craft and complete both practical assessments across the day, with small class sizes giving you plenty of hands-on time on both.
Everything provided
We supply the boat, the jet ski, lifejackets and all equipment, plus the launch site and sheltered water. Bring photo ID, sun protection, and a towel and change of clothes, since the jet ski portion of the day is a wet one.

Is the combo worth it over a single licence?
If you want to ride a jet ski and have never been licensed, yes: the jet ski course on its own assumes you already hold a boat licence, so the combo is your way in. It also saves you a second day, since both licences are covered in one. If you only ever plan to drive a boat, the boat licence on its own is the better fit.
How old do I need to be for the combo course?
You must be at least 16 to hold either the recreational marine or PWC licence in Queensland, so 16 is the minimum age for the combo. Both licences last for life once issued, so it is a great investment to make early.
Do you provide the boat and the jet ski?
Yes. We supply the boat, the jet ski, lifejackets and all training equipment, plus the launch site and sheltered water at all three locations. Just bring photo ID, sun protection, and a towel and change of clothes, since the jet ski part of the day gets you wet.
